Specialist Areas – Professional Focus

I specialise in teaching practical mindfulness skills that support emotional wellbeing, resilience and confidence. I hold a globally accredited mindfulness teaching qualification through the International Mindfulness Teachers Association (IMTA). For over a decade I have incorporated mindfulness into my work with young people, and in 2018 I wrote a structured mindfulness course which I continue to deliver as part of my NHS role in secondary mental health, supporting young people with complex emotional needs.

My approach is evidence-informed, compassionate and practical. Rather than simply teaching meditation techniques, I help individuals understand how mindfulness can improve emotional regulation, reduce stress and anxiety, increase self-awareness and develop healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges.

As both a Qualified Teacher (QTS) and NHS practitioner, I understand that everyone learns differently. I adapt sessions to the individual’s age, experience and goals, creating a calm, supportive environment where people can develop skills that are meaningful and sustainable in everyday life.

Mindfulness can benefit children, teenagers and adults who wish to improve concentration, manage stress, build confidence or simply create more balance in their lives. Whether you are completely new to mindfulness or looking to deepen an existing practice, I aim to provide accessible, enjoyable sessions that equip you with practical techniques you can use long after our sessions have ended.

About Belinda

Alongside my professional work, I have always been curious about people, cultures and the many different ways we experience the world. I have lived and worked abroad, taught English to learners from diverse backgrounds, and have a lifelong interest in languages, travel and cultural exchange. These experiences have enriched both my personal life and my work, deepening my appreciation of connection, compassion and understanding.

Music has also been a constant throughout my life. I perform professionally as a cellist, pianist and recorder player, and I continue to find that music offers a unique way to cultivate presence, creativity and wellbeing.

I have a deep love of nature and believe that some of life’s greatest gifts are found in slowing down and noticing the simple things that are so easily overlooked in our busy lives. Whether it is spending time outdoors, listening to birdsong, or simply taking a moment to breathe, I believe these small moments can have a profound effect on our wellbeing.

My hope is to help others discover practical ways to find greater calm, resilience and balance, enabling them to navigate life’s challenges while reconnecting with what matters most to them.
